Richard Tran, Master Goldsmith's Success Story
Richard's unique American success story began with
him coming
from Vietnam as a young man. His only assets were his skills
as a goldsmith and his determination. Learning English became his passion while honing his jewelry skills in San Jose, California. After
a family tragedy and helping his sister and other members of his
family, he moved to Greenwood, SC.
Richard recognized Greenwood for its beauty as well as the
opportunity of work
for his family. Now he designs, repairs and restores client's
jewelry and Sharp Facets' fine jewelry pieces. Combining "old
world craftsmanship" with modern technology, Richard turns out his
miniature masterpieces daily at Sharp Facets. |
Watch Repair
Our master goldsmith can replace your watch battery, adjust the
band, or replace a pin or buckle on your watch.
We also have an expert repairman to repair and refurbish
mechanical vintage watches.

Ring Resizing and Repair
We resize ladies and men’s yellow gold, white gold and platinum rings.
We can resize most sterling silver rings, too.
We also reshape rings that have been damaged and replace half or full
shanks on rings.
Richard can also solder two rings together if that is your desire - or
take them apart if you have had them soldered and now changed your mind.

Prong Work
and Retipping
This repair applies to
rings as well as pendants, bracelets and earrings. We retip prongs on
jewelry that contain diamond, ruby and sapphire stones only. All
other stones would be damaged by the heat.

Stone Remounting and Repolishing
If you have
damaged one of your stones, bring it in for us to repolish.
We also
remount stones that have fallen out of their mounting.

Engraving
Our master goldsmith can engrave your gold and sterling silver
pieces.

Soldering
Do you have a break in your gold and sterling ring, necklace or
bracelet? We repair that for you here at SFG. We can also shorten your
bracelets and necklaces.

Clasp
Replacement
We can fix a broken clasp or replace one that is too big or too
small. Let us make sure your clasp is secure for years more
wear on your jewelry!

Cleaning
